"What is it, Ronwe?" The tall man turned around as the first many flakes of snow began drifting lazily earthwards, realizing he'd left the small brunette behind. The nine-year-old girl was standing in the center of Momo's lawn, face raised to the grey, white-sprinkled sky, her palms upturned as if to catch the falling white flakes.
He sighed softly. "It's snow, Rissa. You've never seen snow before?"
"Nope! Never!" She made a face for a moment. "It's so cold... and wet." Her face morphed into a smile. "It's so pretty, though!"
"It's just frozen water, Rissa... Nothing special," the dark-haired, black-clad Ronwe said morosely, folding his arms across his chest.
Rissa looked up at him as though he were crazy. "Is not! That's ice!" she corrected, putting her hands on her hips, her puffy white parka giving her the appearance of an irate marshmallow. "You can't fool me, Ronwe!"
He chuckled. "If you say so, kiddo," he said teasingly, tousling her short hair slightly. She pouted again, reverting her look of wonderous rapture at the unearthly beauty the pristine snow exhibited back to the angry marshmallow appearance.
"Not cool, Ronwe!" she whined, stamping her foot, the sound effect muffled by the white blanket covering the ground.
"I know," he said between laughs, taking her hand in a brotherly way,"Let's get you inside before you freeze, munchkin. Everyone's waiting on us."
Reluctantly, Rissa let him lead her into the warm and cozy house, ignoring Momo and Tyler's bantering, which was filtering through the icy window pane. She glanced back once before entering the doorway and smiled at the cold blanket of white that covered every object in sight before running towards her family, knowing it would still be there when she went back out, still pristine. Still her winter wonderland.
(Not a fanfiction story, but eh. I wanted to see from Momo if I'd kept Ronwe in character alright.)
