((Bahaha! More Rebound and Yami Marik. :3 I dunno why I like it, I just do.))
----------
"I want it!"
"You can't have everything, Rebound," Sabrina chided, causing Rebound to whine slightly, staring at the light tan bear with lavender gems for eyes.
"But he reminds me of-" She stopped herself, then said,"You're right. Okay, let's go get on the Zipper!"
With that, Rebound turned tail and ran towards the giant ride, leaving Sabrina, Joey, and Marik to sigh and follow her, weaved through the massive crowds of the annual fair.
"She has so much energy sometimes," Sabrina muttered, Joey nodding. Of course, Sabrina really couldn't say anything about the bear Rebound wanted, since there was a stuffed wolf slung over Joey's right shoulder.
"She really does," Marik said, amused,"It's like she's the Energizer bunny or something. She never stops."
Joey laughed. "That's a good description of her, Energizer bunny."
How wrong they were.
-----------------
Rebound had stopped to wait in the line for the Zipper when she felt the arms wrap around her.
"My little Rebound," the voice whispered into her ear again, chuckling softly.
She tensed, saying,"Go away."
"Why? What's wrong?" his voice asked, on of his arms reaching up for his hand to toy with her hair, as he always did.
"Stop it. Leave me alone," she hissed.
"What's wrong, Rebound?" he purred, and she could almost see him grinning widely, like he used to.
"Leave me alone!" she screamed, slinging her arm back- and catching Marik in the face.
"Ow! Damn, Rebound! The hell's wrong?!" the Egyptian asked, stumbling backwards.
"I'm... I'm sorry, Marik. I didn't mean to," she whimpered, and he sighed.
"It's fine, don't worry," he said, shrugging,"Just a small bruise."
"Okay..."
----------------
Shortly after they had gotten off of the Zipper, which Sabrina came off of clinging to Joey's arm, while Marik was the one clinging to Rebound's arm, and were walking towards the end of the Midway, Rebound suddenly felt the arms again.
"Did you enjoy it, my dear?" he asked her,"I wish I could've rode with you instead of my weak hikari."
Rebound gave a small gasp, her eyes widening. "No..." she whimpered, squeezing her eyes closed.
"No? That's too bad..." He chuckled slightly, tightening his arms.
"Don't touch me," she whispered,"Please."
He let out a full-blown laugh. "Please? You think that's enough to keep me from you, my dear? You are sadly mistaken..."
Rebound fell to her knees, her hands clutching at her head. "Stop!" she gasped,"Stop this!"
"Rebound!" Sabrina yelled, dropping to her knees in front of her. "Honey, what's wrong?"
Rebound stared at her before whispering,"Don't you see him?"
"Who? Who, Rebound?!" the werewolf asked, eyes wide.
"He's here... He's here! He's here!" Rebound screeched, not paying attention to Sabrina's question,"He's always here! Always!"
Behind her, the voice chuckled again, a hand stroking her hair. "There, there, Rebound. It's not like they can see me or hear me. I appear only to you, my dear." His fingers brushed her cheek gently. "Because you... are mine."
"No! No!" she screamed, clawing at her head. "Get out! Get out!"
Yami Marik then whispered in her ear,"I told you after Battle City. I'll follow you forever."
Sabrina held her gently, saying,"It's okay.... It's okay...."
When Rebound looked up, her eyes were glazed with terror... and a slight hint of disturbia.
He smiled again, a Cheshire Cat-like grin, but malicious. His final word sent Rebound into fits.
"Forever."
