~Personality Traits~
Personality:
Upon first meeting, Nowashi is a very traditional Japanese man in the fact that he doesn't show much, if any of his true thoughts outside of the privacy of his own home or amongst those who he feels comfortable with. He's essentially what one would think a Japanese gentleman to be, following a very old school set of values that have been passed on to him by his father.
Due to living out in the middle of nowhere, Nowashi is often very lonely, and despite his normally calm exterior, is generally thrilled whenever he is able to be in the company of others. This loneliness may also explain his fierce protective tendencies of his younger siblings, who he refuses to share the affections of with anyone other then a chosen few.
Living alone for so many years, Nowashi has taken to writing poetry and lyrics as a hobby to pass the time, and whilst his poems may be rather cheezy, they are heartfelt and very skillfully written.
Habits (interests?):
* Writing Japanese poetry, primarily love letters or songs
* Conversing with those who visit the temple.
* Protecting the river in which he draws his powers
* Shooing off potential suitors for his siblings.
Relationship Theme Song: Love Story - Taylor Swift
Quote: "Tradition is the root of all things."
Bio:
Nowashi has lived alone as in a mountain temple overlooking the river he guards for as long as he can remember. At some point in time it is assumed that his siblings lived with him, though they both have clearly moved on to their own lives.
During a short visit to America in order to visit his younger brother, and to inspect his brother's lover, Nowashi came to become friends with Seventeen, the two spending a good amount of the time he was there together. The bond they formed quickly grew, forming into a blossoming romance.
He eventually offered a fugitive Seventeen, who he has come to know as Emily, as well as he 'sister' Three, the option of living with him in his temple, which Emily accepted. The three are now living together in the temple, with Nowashi and Seventeen trying to figure out just what they relationship is.
Random fact: Nowashi was originally intended to be a comical relief character, but the further I developed his personality, the farther from comical relief he became.
