( ^_________^ My wild days as a youngster xD )
Grumbling, a girl pushed through a large crowd of humans. Her caramel hair flowed behind her like a cape, and a dark green beret sat upon her head. A large trenchcoat trailed behind her, and though her hair was only to her elbows, a bit of caramel peeked out from under it. Muttering something about 'slow-brained oxen', she continued to shove her way through. She did not like the city, not one bit.

A tall, blond boy leaned against a brick wall, distancing himself from the main crush of the crowd, wearing a loose red t-shirt and blue jeans, with beat up gray-and-red Nikes. His trademark black headband was tied around his head as usual, the ends dangling to his elbows. His bright blue eyes scanned the area, and every now and then, a smirk of amusement would alight his mouth and eyes as he saw a particularly clumsy person before reverting to the usual, hard mask he wore. He picked out the girl in the crowd, feeling a small buzz of annoyance from her, not enough to cause his own annoyance, though. His gaze quickly slid past her, though, and on to a statuesque raven-haired girl. Hey, he was a guy. He couldn't help it. His gaze was again drawn to the caramel-haired girl, however, and his eyebrows knitted together in frustration for not knowing why.

Not noticing the man's gaze, she spat as people refused to move and she was forced to elbow her way threw. She swore slightly (to herself) and the bit of hair (or was it?) at the end of her trenchcoat seemed to twitch back and forth slightly. Her coat flew back slightly in a gust of wind to reveal a simple pair of jeans and a tan shirt with a paw print on it. It was not form fitting, nor was it loose, just a regular t-shirt. An alarmed look flashed in her eyes, and she quickly drew the coat shut, as if she were smuggling something. However, if one had caught a glance, there was nothing to see! In this weather as well, she did stick out: for, it was warm and quite sunny, yet here was this strange girl (new to town, of course!) with a woolen coat and beret. Spitting out a few 'move its', she continued to dodge people, giving up on shoving people out of her way.

His eyes followed her as she dodged people, idly wondering to himself if this girl was worth trailing. He caught her reaction as the coat blew open and grinned to himself. Yeah. She might be. He began following after her, wincing as the distortion of emotions from the people surrounding him began to attack him and pound at his head. He gritted his teeth and pressed on, concentrating on both her moving figure and the feel of her emotions. In his concentration, he ran into a man who wore a uniform, looking fresh out of the Army, or Marines. The man cast him a glare and muttered,"Delinquent." The teenager's temper flared and he started to turn around to give the man a piece of his mind. In that split second, his attachment on her emotions faltered, and he lost sight of her amongst the crowd. He swore under his breath, then shoved in the direction he last saw her, searching for her emotions' feel.

"Arrgh!!" A (rather loud!) gulleteral, animalistic growl escaped the girl's lips as once again, the wind blew. Her beret flew off and two cat ears sprung up. They weren't very noticable, as they matched her hair nicely, and she pressed them as flat as possible against her head. A few people gasped and pointed, but most ignored her, figuring this droll figure in a coat would have some stupid prop like ears. She muttered and began backtracking to receive the fallen hat.

There! He saw her, going to get the beret, and caught her emotions again. Annoyance, mainly. He reached the hat first, mainly owing to his long legs, and he picked it up, holding it out to her. As soon as she came in earshot, he gave a rough,"Here." He seemed to lack manners of any kind, or maybe it was the pressure of the slowly-overwhelming emotions he heard and felt.

Turning sharply, the girl spat. "I could have gotten it myself!" she growled, swiping it. It seemed she was in a rather bad mood, for one reason or the next. Her cat ears still flat as possible, she tilted her head in an attempt to hide them from the man. After all, her instinct practically made her jump him. He was human, or at least resembled one to the point where she was not about to be polite. Just a nosy human, who wouldn't understand her or her insides. With a glare, she positioned the beret back on her head as quickly as possible, frowning. Sharp incisors peeked over her lips, and her fingernails were slightly sharper than normal. Even if he was a good head taller than her, she still bristled in an anger that seemingly had no reason. Bring it on! she thought, wishing for a fight. She wanted to get rid of these emotions, and since she was younger, the best way she knew how to get rid of them was violence.
