Lonesome Shadows
Shadows stretch their fingers, Brushing revolted trees Who turn their noses up in disgust, Looking down upon night’s minions With uppity glares And snooty glances They whisper demeaning words Knowing who’s superior
Cast away and left to sulk Shadows haunt dark grounds Crawling on their hands and knees They thrash in resentment From snooty tree’s remarks Flames of wrath stir in their hearts Yet they sit: ever patient, ever waiting Contemplating future strikes
Ignoring petty trees, Ancient beings mimic animals instead, Preferring amber wolves’ eyes That hunt in packs To the cold seclusion of Rouge felines, Who hiss and spit Instead of nuzzle and cherish
Blinding lights shatter the clusters Of councils newly forming Suddenly they become soulless and cruel: They swallow each other, Desperate to flee One eternal, mighty enemy A ravishing and gruesome Sun
((My fav is the last line. Ravishing&&gruesome --> antithesis. Oh holy god, as my teacher would say, I do sure love these anithesises!))
