"Yes. The reasons behind my not sleeping are more... sinister, if you wish. However, I don't want to burden you with the knowledge that those reasons exist." She closed her eyes. "So pretend I never said anything."

"No worries." Duke chimed, smiling as he pecked Rayne on the cheek.
((Gah! Stuck now.))

"That's good..." she murmured, smiling softly.
A figure sighed, staring around at Domino. The small form seemed to be that of a female's, its features covered in shadows, except for its dark satiny grey eyes, which stared out from the darkness into the crowded streets with interest. "Domino... City..." A female voice, with a faint French accent. "This is where they told me to go, then?" She sounded slightly confused, but only for a moment. The steel-colored eyes twinkled. "It'll have to be..." The girl stepped into the light, illuminating her thick, mahogany-colored hair which streamed down her back in lush, loose waves. She wore a black mini-skirt, with a black band shirt over it, and black-and-white stockings underneath. She wore combat boots for shoes and many bangles on her arms. "Yes... This is Domino City." She laughed slightly. "Most certainly."

((Nice, new character.))
Elina was busy getting some shopping done when she spotted the new comer to Domino City. Slightly alarmed, first of by the fact that she noticed, second by the way she looked. Deciding it was best to ignore her for the moment, Elina simply put her packages into her car and drove off.

((She's not really new, either. xD Just got a makeover and an attitude revamp.))
Interested by Elina's speedy take off, the girl tilted her head to the side. "Hmm... Interesting. I wonder if she knows who I'm looking for..." She pondered, then said louder,"Anubis, can you follow her if I ride on your back?" A large, grinning jackal appeared by her side. "Of course, Miss," it whined in a reedy, slightly nasal voice. She jumped side-saddle onto his back, and Anubis, with a long jump, soared into the air, propelled by his own magical enhancement.

((O-kay...))
Elina, having been witness to some very strange happenings in the past thanks to her sister & her boyfriend, simply made a mental note to tell them about this new girl in town and how she got a feeling she could be a bit of trouble for them if they cross her.

Anubis went full-speed after the car, making sure to at least attempt to stay out of sight. Later on, however, there'd be more reports of U.F.O.s than ever... Anyway, the jackal continued on after Elina at the girl's insistence, despite his complaints. The girl seemed very interested in Domino, and Elina.

After stopping at her father's childhood home, now hers & her sisters, she quickly bolted over to the Kame Game Shop to tell Yugi about the new girl in town. "Hm....does sound odd. Maybe she's looking for someone?" Yugi replied, stacking boxes in the back room. "Hope it's not one of the item holders, past or present."

Anubis followed Elina to the Game Shop, whereupon he lightly landed and the girl slid off, landing just as lightly on the ground. Anubis shrunk to a slightly more manageable size, curling around the girl's neck as the opened the door to the shop. "Excuse me...?" she ventured politely,"But do you know if a man named Yami is around?"

Elina mentally cursed every known god and goddess as Yugi looked at the young lady before them. "May I ask who wants to know?" He asked politely.

She smiled brightly. "Me, of course. My name is Roxanne Cathers, but do call me Rory. And this is Anubis." She gestured to the jackal around her neck, who was staring at Yugi as though he could see to his soul.

"Hm, unfortunately for you he's not here at the moment. He's gone off somewhere and since I no longer have the puzzle, I have no way of contacting him currently since he doesn't like Cell Phones..." Yugi said, earning a giggle from Elina.

Rory nodded slightly. "I'll wait then, if you don't mind. It's rather important that I speak with him." She glanced at the jackal, who was dozing off lazily. "Anubis, wake up," she hissed,"That looks unprofessional."

'Or, you could go away and never come back for as long as everyone lives.' Elina thought to herself just as the said friend walked into the shop. "Oh, hello there." Yami greeted Rory.

Rory jumped from her newly-acquired seating position on the floor. She flashed him a brilliant smile. "My Pharaoh!" she exclaimed, bowing almost mockingly,"It has been far too long. I daresay you don't even remember me!" She laughed. "No, you don't do you? I'm Roxanne Cathers, your sworn enemy for eternity, High Priestess of Anubis, God of Jackals. And the Keeper of the Pyramid of Light." She held up a Puzzle look-alike, except silver and with a red eye in the center. "A pleasure to re-meet you after so many millenniums apart! Note my sarcasm."
